Two vertical bars one of steel and other of bronze each 2 m long and of equal area of cross
section hang vertically with 700mm distance between their axes. A rigid member is
connected to the lower ends of the bars. Calculate at what distance from the steel bar should
a concentrated load of 70 kN be applied on the rigid member so that elongation of the bronze
